Training programme and guide 1: TB and Tobacco links and brief advices

Training programme and guide 2: Supporting patients to quit
These guides and suggested training programmes can be used and adapted by TB programmes and other providers for use within routine, on-going training. The first programme covers a one hour training session to inform participants on the links between TB and tobacco and to practice giving patients brief advice on quitting. This session can include videos 1 and 2.

The second training programme also takes one hour and follows on from the first session. It allows health professionals time to practice supporting their patients to set a quit date and deal with cravings and side-effects.
